The inscriptions below are Kushite Hieroglyphs. They figure prominently on Stelaes , Relief Drawings in Pyramids , Chapels, Temples and Tombs in Napata, Meroe, Kawa , Gebel Barkal , Akasha and  many other other areas in the Sudan .  Some of these character/symbols have the same meanings as in the Hieroglyphs above.

    To this day many Egyptologists, historians and linguists still claim that they have not yet been able to decipher the MEROITIC INSCRIPTIONS . A stunning example of this writing was found in what has been described  as a Birth House in Karanog , 60 Km south of Aswan , Upper Nubia.
    However apart from evidence of secret research conducted by some scientists, in this region of Northern Sudan, indigenous peoples ( who are today called NUBIANS ) still speak the NUBIC language. Though this lingua was eventually influenced by SABÆN , AMHARIC , COPTIC and ARABIC , many words from Meroitic have survived.
    Even words in modern English have been influenced. Take for instance the word QUEEN , it is a corrupt version of the word Quren which is rooted in the MEROITIC word KANDAKE ( Warrior Queen Mother ) from the letters KDK. The Greeks translate this as  CANDACE .
